These last weeks the threat of the coronavirus was spread all over the world. Some countries have a lockdown in order to try to get this pandemic under control.
This situation could take time and probably all of us will have to take this measurement sooner or later, that’s the reason why I want to give you some ideas of things to do at home to turn this difficult situation into a productive one.
Declutter
It’s no time for excuses! Declutter a wardrobe can take quite a while, that’s why this is the best opportunity you will ever have to do it.
If you have a lot of clothing, this is your time to see what you don’t wear anymore. I like to put in a pile the things that I wear. A second one with the items I don’t wear or I don’t like anymore and a third one with the things I’m not sure about. However, after many years doing this, I have learned that what I haven’t worn for months I won’t keep it.
Most likely you have some charity centers nearby and you can donate there the things you don’t need. But please, donate only items in good condition and clean.
Another good option would be to resell those more expensive items getting back some of your money.
Please, take also into account that if you are in a country with lockdown maybe you have to wait to donate all the staff after it.
Read
Sometimes you come back home too tired or too late. We always find an excuse. If you have to stay at home, take a cup of tea or a coffee, a blanket and enjoy a book. I personally don’t like to read books, but if you are like me, you have many other options. Audiobooks, podcast or maybe read some blogs (which I prefer). No matter the way you choose, reading is a good way to be entertaining at home.
Watch films and series
Have you ever watched Game of Thrones, or Strangers Things, or maybe something more classic like Friends? Well, with so many days ahead you can enjoy some of these well-known series or maybe, if you prefer a film, you can enjoy them in Netflix or Amazon Prime Video or another of the hundreds available on the market. But remember, you will need a subscription.
Learn something new
I’m the first trying to convince myself that I have no time to learn something new. This fact isn’t true 100% of the time. Anyway, staying at home we have a wonderful chance to learn a language, or to cook, to knit or maybe, like in my case, to learn more about how to improve my blog.
There are many options out there and you only need a laptop and time (which you now have).
Plan things to do
When you have to go work, or you have kids it’s very difficult to have a schedule for doing things that are out of your routine. Make good use of your time planning what you want to do for the rest of the year. It could be your next holiday or some project for your job or maybe to plan the next shopping.
Have you maybe any other good advice or tips? Are you going to stay at home?
